Craig Bonham

November 30, 1957 — April 22, 2021

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation in memory of Craig. An account has been set up at South Central Bank, Franklin.

Craig Bonham was born on November 30, 1957.  He lived his whole life in Franklin and loved the small town life of being a neighbor.  He always said in order to have a good neighbor you have to be a good neighbor. Craig had so many friends and they quickly became family to him.

This being said, we feel a traditional obituary would not be his style.  Instead, a tribute on the way he lived life and the values he taught along the way would be more fitting.  As you read his tribute please picture yourself with him: think about all the family time, think about sitting in class, think about all the committee meetings, and of course think about all of your farming interactions.

CB’s Creed

When we think of obituaries we think of it as a way for living life.  Not a fact sheet of our past. When we think about the word obituary, we think if I should pass today, what would be said about me.  What words will be spoken about the way I lived my life?

Everyone who knew CB knows exactly where he grew up, everyone knows what schools he went to, what organizations he served. We all know who is seated in the reserved seats and we know those that have preceded.

CB wouldn’t want this to be about him in this way.  I believe it’s about the way he walked on this earth. I believe it's about the conversations he had with everybody.  And most definitely, I believe it’s about his infectious laugh.

CB has many friends, to the point where we couldn’t even start to name honorary people.  It would be an impossible task.  Everyone was his best friend.  He was able to give everybody the best part of him to make sure they had a great day. He was a “yes” guy and was always willing to try anything once. This is where his larger than life personality shined and those infamous stories we all have with him began and now turned legendary!

Life had a great time being CB’s friend.  I truly believe that by living life the way he did, God gave him unlimited friends. He wasn’t as much a lucky person; rather he lived his life in a way that rewarded him with unlimited success, friends, and family. To everyone that knows him, this is true, and these will be the values that will be passed on to everyone we know.
