N. Lorraine Trambly, 84, of Franklin passed away Friday, July 31, 2015, at Providence Place in Hastings, NE. She was born on August 26, 1930, in Franklin, NE, to Charley and Ida (Schenk) Johnson. Lorraine received her education at School District 34-Lone Star in Franklin County Andrea graduated in 1947 from Franklin High School. On January 11, 1948, she was united in marriage to Merle Trambly. They were blessed with five children.
Lorraine worked several jobs in California and Nebraska. Her favorite job was assisting patrons for 18 years at the Franklin State Bank where she retired in 1992. She also enjoy being an active member of the Franklin High School Alumni Association as Records Secretary. She was also Secretary/Treasurer for American Legion Auxiliary. Her hobbies were baking, making quilts for her children and doing crossword puzzles together with Merle. One of Lorraine's greatest joys was the relationship she maintained with each of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Her positive attitude and winning smile made her a favorite with all.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Merle, her parents, brother, Melvin, and sister, Mertis.
Lorraine is survived by daughters, Vicki (Dennis) White and Lori Trambly; sons, Barry Trambly, Gary (Marg) Trambly and Rodney Trambly. She loved her 11 grandchildren, Josh, Kelly (Kirsten), Kody, Mandy, Polly (Brandon), Jill (Brian), Mary (Nick), Casey (Katie), Braden, Heather and Amber. She also loved her 12 great-grandchildren equally as much. There are also many beloved nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Her Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 am Friday, August 7, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church in Franklin with Pastor Anthony Trevarton officiating. There will be no visitation. Family suggests memorials to the American Legion Auxiliary. Inurnment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Franklin, Nebraska. Online condolences can be left at www.hutchinsfh.com.
