Myrtle Marie Worley

Myrtle Marie Worley, age 91, of Campbell, Nebraska, took Jesus’s hand and passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Bethany Home in Minden, Nebraska.

She was born on June 23, 1934, in Bloomington, Nebraska, to George and Gladys (Bear) Crouse. Myrtle was the fourth of eight children. She grew up on a farm south of Bloomington with her parents, brothers, and sister. She attended Sunny Hill Country School south of Bloomington through the eighth grade, then attended Bloomington High School beginning in 1948. She graduated in 1952 and was united in marriage to Arthur Worley of Campbell, Nebraska, on December 26, 1952, in Smith Center, Kansas. Together, they raised four children on a farm southeast of Campbell.

Myrtle joined Upland Methodist Church and was baptized on March 27, 2005. Later, she transferred her membership to the Presbyterian Church in Campbell, Nebraska. She worked at Grandview Manor in Campbell for nearly 40 years, a job she truly enjoyed, and also worked part-time at Campbell Café. She retired and moved into town in 2009.

Myrtle loved sewing quilts and generously gave many of them away. She also enjoyed music and gardening. She served as a board member of the Franklin Senior Center since 2005 and was previously a member of the Campbell Auxiliary and the Campbell Chamber of Commerce.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son Gene (Pauline) of Minden; daughter Nancy (Larry) of Campbell; son Dan (Charlotte) of Raymond; and son Lynn (Linda) of Osage Beach, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Susanne Crouse and Deb Crouse of Lincoln; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, George and Gladys (Bear) Crouse; her husband, Arthur, of 58 years; her brothers George, Francis, Clifford, Delbert, Raymond, and Harold; her sister Susan Kleen; and her great-grandson, Graham Golter.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 05, 2026 at the Presbyterian Church, Campbell, Nebraska from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 05, 2026 at Presbyterian Church, Campbell, Nebraska with Rev. Mark Diehl officiating the service. Burial will follow at Upland Cemetery, Upland, Nebraska.
