Mildred Sweet

Mildred Sweet was born September 23, 1921 in Athol, Kansas to Lon and Lillie Kirkendall Rust. She passed away from this life on Monday, May 18, 2009 at Bryan LGH East in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 87.

Mildred attended school in Reamesville, Kansas. She married Bert Sweet on Aug. 2, 1942. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by sons: Larry Sweet and wife Jeannine, Lakeland, FL; Michael Sweet, Lincoln, NE; Daughters: Janet Mueller and husband Richard, San Antonio, TX; Alma Block & husband Ronald, Lakewood, CO; Alana Norton and husband Richard, Franklin, NE; Doreen Ainslie and husband Wayne, Lincoln, NE; 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband- Bert Sweet, grandsons- Jeffery Block and Kyle Sweet, sister- Grade Hudson, brothers- Roy Rust and Floyd Rust.

Funeral services will be at 2:00PM, Friday, May 22, 2009 at Hutchins Funeral Home with Pastor Jeannine Sweet officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 8 PM Thursday, May 21, 2009. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Franklin, Nebraska. The family suggests memorials to Franklin VFW.
