Michael Sanger, age 49, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at the Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, May 31st at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Hampton. Rev. David Dobbertien will officiate. Interment will be at 3:00 P.M. in the Greenwood Cemetery at Franklin. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M. Monday at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Hampton. OBITUARY: MICHAEL SANGER

Michael Glen Sanger, the son of Evert G. and Eunice A. (Tobiassen) Sanger, was born at Franklin, Nebraska on July 29, 1961 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on May 25, 2011, at the age of 49

Michael grew up in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School in 1981. He received a diploma from Hastings Community College in Parts Management. Michael worked at Century Manufacturing in Aurora, Pacific Tool & Die in Grand Island, Sunflower Carriers in York, Chief Industries in Grand Island, Securtis in Grand Island and was currently working at Bosselman's Tank and Trailer in Grand Island.

Michael loved fishing and enjoyed attending and watching stock car racing. He had an avid interest in trains and was a member of the National Railway Historical Society -Great Plains Chapter and St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Hampton, where he served as Trustee.

He was preceded in death by his father, Evert Sanger; paternal grandparents, William and Opal Sanger; and maternal grandparents, Tobias and Edna Tobiassen; and uncle, Wilmer Sanger.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother and step-father, Eunice & Bob Schneider of Aurora; one brother, Gary (Janet) Sanger of Ankeny, Iowa; 5 step-brothers and sisters, Rose (Bruce) Larson of Aurora, Thomas (Sue) Schneider of Jacksonville, Florida, David (fiancée Cherie) Schneider of Grand Island, Patty Campbell of Aurora and Mike (Marie) Schneider of Grand Island; aunts and uncles, Evelyn Detlefsen and Ken Petska; Mary (Doug) Scheuneman, Ronald (Maxine) Sanger, Erold Sanger, Jolene Sanger; one niece, Lynn (Andy) Case of Los Angeles, California; one nephew Jason (fiancee Amy) of Wichita, Kansas and several step nieces and nephews.
