Martha B. (Thompson) Prichard 77 of Upland Nebraska, passed away at home March 31,2016 after a long struggle with cancer surrounded by her family.
Martha was born March 14th 1939 Roseland Nebraska, the 13th child to Fredrick and Sophia (Torske) Thompson. Graduated from Roseland High School, attended secretarial college in Lincoln and worked in Minden, Lincoln and Seattle.
She married the love of her life James H. Prichard July 20th, 1958 at her family home in Roseland. They were the proud parents of 4 children Caramella, Fredrick, Michael and Sonya.
Her love for her siblings, nieces and nephews, children and grandchildren speaks volumes to the importance of family and the legacy she leaves for all of them. After Jim passed away, she helped fill the days for as long as she was physically able by spending time in her garden and visiting family.
She will be remembered as a woman who loved and trusted in the Lord. It was never easy for her to be alone after Jim passed, and her family rejoices knowing she is at peace and again with her loved ones. We mourn her loss, and her memory will forever be in our hearts.
Martha is survived by her brother and sister-inlaw - Leroy and Carolyn Thompson; children - Candy and her husband Dan Goergen of Upland, Mike Prichard and his wife Tammy of Graham Washington; 8 grandchildren - Aaron Hanson, Elizabeth and Aaron Pollard, Jason and Tonia Bright, Zackery Kennedy, Sarah Kennedy, Heather Rose, Tina Goergen-Torres, Jodie and Mike Lewis. 13 great-grandchildren, Nicolas Hanson, Ayrianna Pollard, Jesse Bright, Ayla Bright, Dakota Bright, Katie Perry, Cody Tammi, Ayla Rose, Roby and Baylee Torres, Jamey Torres, Timmy Torres, Zane Lewis, and Chase Lewis; 2 great-great-grandchildren Tallyn Torres and Gabriel Torres; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
