Kathy Hayden

Kathy Louise Hayden, the daughter of Ethel (Porter) and Gaylord Brush, was born February 17, 1961 at McCook, Nebraska.  In her early years, the family moved and settled in the community of Riverton, Nebraska. Kathy grew up on their small dairy farm. She was involved in the 4-H program showing many of their dairy calves and was a lover of the horses. Kathy graduated from Franklin high school in 1979.

Following graduation, Kathy worked for various health organizations as a CNA and Med-Aide. Those included Life Care of Elkhorn, Nebraska and Mosaic of Axtell, Nebraska. On June 23, 2000 she was married to Jeffrey Hayden. Together they lived in Fremont, Nebraska working for Silver hawk Security Agency. Also while living in Fremont she was office manager for Service Master. In 2005 Kathy and Jeff moved to Riverton to be closer to her mother Ethel.

At the age of 60 years, Kathy passed from this life Thursday, July 8th, 2021 at Bryan LGH East Campus in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Gaylord Brush; sister Elsie; and infant sons Joshua and James Martin.

She will be forever remembered by her mother, Ethel Brush; brother Edward (Brenda) Brush; husband Jeff Hayden; children Martin Brush, Jon Martin, Jerrad Martin, Lyn Tingelhoff, Lanae Hayden, Desiree Hayden-Para; grandchildren Connor and his daughter Ivy, Harper, Noah, Brooklyn, Eli, Zavier; uncle Arthur (Ella) Porter; niece Jennifer Turner; nephew Chase Lutz; other relatives and friends.

Graveside services and inurnment will be held 11:00am Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Riverton Cemetery with Pastor Audrey Beaty of Valley Worship Center, Riverton officiating.

Hutchins Funeral Home, Franklin, Nebraska assisted the Hayden family with these arrangements.
