Hazel Jameson

January 29, 1945 — January 9, 2017

Hazel Gale (White) Jameson of Riverton, Nebraska, was born at home in rural Huerfano County, Colorado, on January 29, 1945 to Roy and Violet Madge (Reams) White. She departed his life on January 9, 2017, at the Franklin Care and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin, Nebraska at the age of 71 years, 11 months, and 16 days.

She was the youngest of the nine children. In 1946, the family moved to a farm 3 miles north of Riverton, Nebraska. She received her education at the Riverton School and her GED from Franklin in 1984.

In September 1960, she was united in marriage to Merle Kegley. This union was blessed with five children - John, Kristal, Danial, Leon and Tommy. They later divorced.
Hazel then married James Jameson in October of 1974, which added James five children - James, Jr., Toby, Connie (Sis), Danita, and Joe. James then adopted Danial, Kristal, Leon and Tommy and Hazel adopted Danita and Joe.
The family moved to Bloomington, Nebraska. Hazel was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, and a gold star member of the American Legion Unit 209.

She was preceded in death by her parents - Roy and Madge White; husband - James Jameson; son - John Kegley; daughter - Kristal Jameson; brothers - Dan, Jack, Roy White; sisters - Violet French and Beula Rickabough.

Hazel leaves to treasure her memory eight children - Terry (Tobe) Jameson of Bladen, Nebraska, Jimmy Jr. of Minden, Nebraska, Connie Jameson of Campbell, Nebraska, Danita Jameson of Kearney, Nebraska, Randy Jameson of Kearney, Nebraska, Joe and wife, Shelly Jameson of Blue Hill, Nebraska, Danial Jameson of Riverton, Nebraska, Leon Jameson of Tecumseh, Nebraska, and Tommy and wife, Kathy Jameson of Franklin, Nebraska; one daughter-in-law - Cherie Kegley of Grand Island, Nebraska; 27 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two sisters - Gladys Kugler, Franklin, Nebraska and Madge Bennett, Glen Elder, Kansas; one brother - Tom White, Cawker City, Kansas; sister-in-law - Terri White, Lebanon, Kansas, and a host of nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service will be Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., at the Evangelical Free Church , Franklin, Nebraska with Pastor Bill Stearns officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Franklin, Nebraska. Memorials to the family and a charity will be named at a later date. Visitation will be Monday, January 16, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hutchins Funeral Home, Franklin, Nebraska. Online condolences can be left at www.hutchinsfh.com.
