Elvera Elizabeth (Rocker) Dallman

Elvera Elizabeth (Rocker) Dallman 87, died Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Accura Healthcare. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 2, 2026, at Macon Prairie Altar Church, Macon, Nebraska with Scott Randall officiating. Burial will follow services at the Macon Union Cemetery. Following the burial lunch will be served at the Franklin County Fairgrounds building in Franklin, NE. 

Visitation with family greeting friends will be Thursday, October 1, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Hutchins Funeral Home in Franklin, Nebraska.

Elvera was born on a farm southwest of Hildreth Nebraska on June 6, 1939 to John and Vera (Thonen) Rocker. The Rocker family moved to a farm northeast of Hildreth. Elvera attended grade school at Dist #34 in Kearney County. She graduated from Hildreth High School.

Elvera married Randy Dallman on May 26, 1956 at the St. Peters Lutheran Church in Hildreth. They started their life on a farm southwest of Macon. To this union three children were born, Sheryl, Dudley and Bradley. She and Randy worked together daily on the farm raising children until their family was grown. They resided on the farm until 2012 when they moved into Franklin.

Elvera's was a member of the Macon United Methodist Church and served on a variety of committees and in several offices. She was active in the Macon Community. She belonged to the Country Cousins Extension Club, served on the Franklin County extension board, and along with Randy were leaders of the Go-Getters 4-H club for a number of years. She was the driver for Santa Claus for 55 years and even acted as Mrs. Claus when needed.

Throughout her life Elvera welcomed everyone to her home with a smile and food for any number of last minute visitors. She loved to cook and tried new recipes for her guests. She worked at the Dietary Department at the Franklin County Memorial Hospital for some time.

She especially enjoyed making Scherenschnitte paper cuttings she shared with family and friends. She later displayed her cuttings at Accura Healthcare for her friends to enjoy changing them out for each season. She learned to do tatting and made many floral arrangements for homes and weddings.

Survivors include Children, Sheryl Arehart and husband James, Dudley Dallman and wife Linda, and Bradley Dallman and wife Amy, all of Franklin. Grandchildren Alicia Shoemaker and husband Ben of Omaha, Konrad Anderson and wife Lauren and Brooke Goos and husband Rowdy all of Franklin. Step grandchildren, Jeremy Arehart and Jonathon Arehart of Franklin, Nebraska, andJennifer Komarek and Husband Dustin of KANSAS. Great Grand Children, Marchella, Felix, Victor, Tammi and Randi. Step Great Grandchild, Dexter. Sister-in-Law Donna Belle Dallman of Kearney, Nieces Sheila Rocker-Heppe and husband Chris of California, Tatianna Rocker-Katz of New York, Nephew Reg Dallman and wife Lonna of Kearney, Nebraska, and Niece Rochelle Wright with husband Rick of Colorado. Along with several Great nieces and nephews.

Elvera was preceded in death by her husband Randy in December of 2022. Her parents John and Vera Rocker, Brother Merlin Rocker and Wife Donna., and Brother-in-law Ernest Dallman.
