David Lavern Cole, 48, Franklin, Nebraska went to live with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on May 15, 1974 to Lavern and Sondra (Bose) Cole.
David graduated from Franklin High School starting with the Class of 1993, but due to health reasons graduated with the Class of 1994. After high school, David worked for American Electronics installing home security systems. He was very smart working with technology and enjoyed working with his hands, so it was the perfect combination. Unfortunately due to health reasons, he had to move back to Franklin where he has resided.
There was no question that the love of David’s life was, his nieces. He loved on “his girls” by going to their ball games, school programs, giving wanted and unwanted basketball advice, mowing their lawns, dog sitting, reminding them to get their oil changed, going on vacations, fixing everything, but most of all gushing how proud he was of them and his nieces felt the same about them.
David has left this earthly life and is now living with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and reunited with his dad, mom, grandma and pops Lloyd.
David the most kind and thoughtful son, brother, uncle, nephew, friend, and “biggest Kansas Jayhawk fan” will be forever remembered by his beloved dog; sisters Lisa Cole (Phil Skaggs), Grand Island, Nebraska and Lori Cole Weber, Franklin, Nebraska; nieces Tiffany Adam (Shaun), Madison McKinney (Sam), Emily Eckley and Kinsey Clark all of Franklin; uncle Larry Bose and wife Debra, Lincoln, Nebraska; several cousins and many friends.
Family will be greeting family and friends Monday, April 10th from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Hutchins Funeral home, Franklin, Nebraska. A Celebration of His Life will be held 10:00am Tuesday, April 11th, 2023 at Crossgate Community Church, Franklin, Nebraska with Pastor Kasey Loschen officiating. He will be laid to rest by his parents in Greenwood Cemetery, Franklin. Memorials should be made in David’s memory to Unusual Soldiers or Franklin Public School Basketball Program c/o Hutchins Funeral Home, Franklin, Nebraska.
