Clifford Crouse

Clifford Crouse left this life from his home on December 13, 2009, at the age of 78. He was born in Bloomington, NE on December 10, 1931, to George Fredrick Crouse and Gladys Marie Bear Crouse.

Clifford was their third child. He was a lifetime resident of Franklin County. He fought for our Country in the Korean War. He married Helen Hope Treddenbarger on August 3, 1958. Helen passed from this life in 1994. Five children were born to their union and all survive, Peggy Alnor and family of Rozel, KS, David Crouse and fiance, Trudy Pistore of Bertrand, NE, Douglas Crouse of Grand Island, NE, Roger Crouse of Hastings, NE and Debra Crouse, Franklin, NE. He has one son-in-law, Warren K. Alnor, Jr.

Clifford was a member of the Bloomington American Legion Post and The United Methodist Church of Bloomington. He worked on the family farm south of Bloomington as he was growing up. He labored hard to support his family. He was a tree trimmer, carpenter, laborer, gravel pit worker and on the road crew for Franklin County. He was an avid fisherman and stock car racing fan, sharing these hobbies with his sons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Helen, and two brothers, George William and Francis Leroy.

He has two surviving sisters, Myrtle Marie Worley of Campbell, NE and Susan Ann Kleen of Bloomington, NE. He is also survived by three brothers, Harold Donald, Delbert Merle, and Raymond Eugene all of Lincoln, NE. He has five grandchildren, all of Rozel, KS, Michael Warren Alnor, Rachel Hope Alnor, Jessie Jean Alnor, and twins, Katherine Marie and Jennifer Helen Alnor.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Hutchins Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 8PM Wednesday through Friday and until service time on Saturday. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bloomington, Nebraska with Military Honors by Paul Hartt Post #145. The family suggests memorials to Donor's Choice.
