Arlene Davisson

Thelma Arlene (Swank) Davisson was born on a farm near Cedar Kansas December 14, 1916 to Cornelious Michael and Katy (Knoll) Swank. She died March 3, 2012 at the Franklin County Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Nebraska at the age of 95 years.She went to school at Tyner grade school and went the High School at Athol for 3 years, then graduated from Kensington High.She married Dwight Davisson in Osbourne, Kansas and to this union 4 children were born.Arlene was emloyed at Franklin State Bank, the Corner Lunch, the Pade Drug Store, Soil Conservation and the Telephone office.She was baptized with all her children Sanna Jo, Allen and Jennifer when Eunice was a baby.Arlene's hobbies included sewing, crochet, knitting, painting, fishing and gardening. She especially loved trees. She was a magnificent cook and enjoyed spending time with her 6 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Arlene was preceeded in death by her brother Oscar and sister Dorothy Mae Webber.Graveside service was held on Monday, March 5, 2012 at the Franklin Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Herman Keen officiating.Memorials to Family Choice.Hutchins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
